Mike Maloney, Board Chair

Founder of Freedom Farms, Mike is a relentless advocate of maximum resilience, freedom and prosperity. A hero of the middle-class, he is also an economist, monetary historian, author of the two best-selling books on precious metals investing, and host of a YouTube channel with over 125 million views and the smash hit video series Hidden Secrets of Money. In 2005, he founded one of the world’s most respected precious metals dealers, GoldSilver.com, which has since reached more than $2 billion in total sales. He is also an exceptional industrial designer. His designs from the 1980s landed him the cover of international design magazine, and permanent placement in one of the world’s greatest museums, the Royal Queen Victoria, Prince Albert Museum in London.

Founder & CEO Platinum Legal, Mauricio is widely considered one of the top securities attorneys in the United States, trusted by high level real estate investors and entrepreneurs to navigate the complexities of compliance legislation, syndication, fund structuring, and risk mitigation. After building and scaling his prior law firm to a multiple 7-figure business, Mauricio exited in 2024 and now focuses on his consulting firm, Platinum Legal Consulting.  With over 25 years of legal experience, Mauricio ensures Freedom Farms operates on sound legal and scalable financial foundation.

Robert Helms, Board

With investment and development experience in nine states and six countries, Robert’s past and current projects are valued at over $800 Million. A passionate teacher, he hosts the nationally syndicated radio show The Real Estate Guys™, now in its twenty-ninth year of broadcast. The podcast version of the show is one of the most downloaded podcasts on real estate and is heard in more than 190 countries.

Derek Speigner, Board

CEO Arise Equity. Having built a $200M portfolio of top-of-the-market real estate assets across Texas, Derek is a strategic business leader that see’s value and attacks opportunities. Derek’s prior work in Fortune 10 energy production brings deep experience in process technology and chemical engineering. Derek has worked for the largest private and public companies in America, contributing his expertise in new processes and materials movement. His skill has been key in driving multi-billion dollar oil and gas facilities into their success by converting feedstock into more-useful material at higher profits in high-impact manufacturing. His process knowledge is highly acclimated to complexity, and lends itself perfectly to the natural symbioses of regenerative agriculture. Derek also has a passion for orchards(!) and his family orchard has been a steady away-from-work delight to partake in.

Robby Marsh, Board

President & CEO of JH Boyd Enterprises Inc.; Co-Founder, Principal of Arise Equity Management and Affiliates; Founder of Boyd Legacy; and other ventures.  With a booming portfolio of commercial real estate and energy investments, Robby Marsh is a renowned leader in financial resilience and wealth generation; capital project investment, development and execution; and energy independence and stability.  During a decade of Global Projects ExxonMobil and over a decade in investment real estate, Robby has been a key leader in over $12B of funds deployed.  His network extends from the oil field to Capitol Hill, retail investors to midcap investment funds, field construction and operations to the executive board room.

Rick Pinney, Board

Pat Jordon, Board

With 35 years of commercial construction management, and supervision of over 100 employees at all times, Mr. Jordon’s reputation has been established with consistent on-time deliveries of contracts, and completions arriving at under-bid prices. Pat overcomes the natural obstacles inherent to commercial construction efficiently, including: labor disputes, supply chains disruptions, and managing highly-complex schedules. Freedom Farms will come with its own unique challenges, but his prior build-outs of Hospitals', schools, and high-rise hotels, has the project in good hands. Pat is personally proud to join this team, to share in the honour and privilege to give the chance to help the people of PURTO RICO live more affordably. 

Dan Rubock, Marketing/Media

Dan has worked with Mike Maloney since 2009. As a former member of GoldSilver.com’s board of directors, he helped position the company for a successful acquisition. Dan is a media specialist from Australia, and took an equity deal with Mr. Maloney in return for running the marketing/media divisions of Mike’s companies. It was his foresight of foregoing traditional media outlets and concentrating on YouTube that led to the smash hit video series Hidden Secrets of Money, which helped to make GoldSilver.com one of the most visible precious metals dealer’s on the internet. Since then, Dan has helped establish Freedom Farms from the very beginning, and he is responsible for messaging and marketing for Freedom Farms, including the possibility of a ‘reality show’ based on the farm.

Pedro Prado, Executive

Pedro Prado is a dedicated farmer who advocates regenerative agriculture, raising pasture-raised laying hens, beef cattle, pigs, and sheep on lush, free-roaming grasslands. With a Bachelor’s in Industrial Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico and a scientific background in bioremediation research for the U.S. Department of Energy, Pedro combines his expertise in microbiology with sustainable livestock practices to enhance soil health and animal welfare. Trained by renowned farmers like Joel Salatin and Greg Judy, he serves as Director of Operations at Finca Pastoreo, leading innovative holistic pasture management and ethical livestock production in Puerto Rico. Passionate about sustainability, Pedro produces nutrient-dense, healthy food while advancing regenerative farming practices.

K. L.

With over 20yrs K. L. has lead in executive roles in energy, wealth management, investment banking, and the insurance industry. As founder and director of two Swiss companies, K. L. has proven to boost bottom line net-profits for businesses by designing high scalable target operating models underpinned by top class technology integrations including data analytics, machine learning, ecommerce and the open source protocols like bitcoin. His remains a leading influence in Ireland then expanding to Switzerland, the UAE as well as the United States.

Philip W. Sarsons, Executive

Mr. Sarsons has already submitted a combined value of $70.5M of opportunities through various federal agencies to support Freedom Farms, notably through the USDA and DOE. He has also aligned the Farms project with the NRCS, for their financial supports to physically build out the project, and VETS, Veteran Employment Training Services, to expand the process of regenerative farming into the social realm, offering meaningful and supported employment opportunities to Puerto Rican veteran servicemen and women. Phil arrives to Freedom Farms from delivering government services in Canada, where he secured millions of dollars in sponsorships of post-secondary education plans, parsed out across hundreds of impoverished and struggling people. Philip brings a near-decade of policy analysis and public services delivery to Freedom Farms, as well as his own personal experience with homesteading.

Nikola Spassov, Farm Manager

Nikola’s passion for regenerative agriculture has taken him across the USA and Europe, learning from successful and high-profile farmers, as well as leading workshops in Central & South America, Puerto Rico, and in Bulgaria - teaching in three languages. Nikola’s intimate knowledge of the Jayuya landscape is fundamental to the growing success of food security in the area. Niko is also professional boat builder, and, the National Champion of Bulgaria in both boat racing and water skiing! He loves the Caribbean waters, and though has no titles in PR — yet! —  he has been chopping surf and ruffling the local waves in PR’s wind surfing competitions, the Expression Sessions.

Brian Kimble, Executive

Brian Kimble is the Head of Business Development at Symton Inc., the leading provider of Black Soldier Fly Larvae for reptile nutrition in the U.S. He drives strategic growth and industry partnerships, expanding Symton’s impact in pet nutrition, insect agriculture, and sustainable waste-to-value solutions.
