Mike Maloney, Board Chair
Founder of Freedom Farms, Mike is a relentless advocate of maximum resilience, freedom and prosperity. As a world-renown economist, monetary historian, and author of the two best-selling books on precious metals investing, Mike is host of a YouTube channel with over 125 million views and the smash hit video series Hidden Secrets of Money. In 2005, he founded one of the world’s most respected precious metals dealers, GoldSilver.com, which has since reached more than $2 billion in total sales. He is also an exceptional industrial designer. His designs from the 1980s landed him the cover of international design magazine, and permanent placement in one of the world’s greatest museums, the Royal Queen Victoria, Prince Albert Museum in London.

Having built a $200M portfolio of best-in-the-market real estate assets across Texas, Derek is a strategic business leader that see’s value and attacks opportunities. His knack for investing since joining the professional real estate investment industry stems from prior work in Fortune 10 downstream and midstream oil & gas production. His experience in chemical engineering & process technology comes from the largest public and private producers in America. Pat Jordon, Board
With 35 years of commercial construction management, and steady supervision of over 100 employees, Mr. Jordon’s reputation has been established with consistent on-time deliveries of contracts, and completions arriving at under-bid prices. Pat overcomes the natural obstacles inherent to commercial construction efficiently, including: labor disputes, supply chains disruptions, and managing highly-complex schedules. Freedom Farms will come with its own unique challenges, but his prior build-outs of Hospitals', schools, and high-rise hotels, has the project in good hands. Pat is very proud to join this team, to share in the privilege of helping the people of PURTO RICO live more affordably.
Dan Rubock, Marketing/Media
Dan has worked with Mike Maloney since 2009. As a former member of GoldSilver.com’s board of directors, he helped position the company for a successful acquisition. Dan is a media specialist from Australia, and took an equity deal with Mr. Maloney in return for running the marketing/media divisions of Mike’s companies. It was his foresight of foregoing traditional media outlets and concentrating on YouTube that led to the smash hit video series Hidden Secrets of Money, which helped to make GoldSilver.com one of the most visible precious metals dealer’s on the internet. Since then, Dan has helped establish Freedom Farms from the very beginning, and he is responsible for messaging and marketing for Freedom Farms, including the possibility of a ‘reality show’ based on the farm.
Pedro Prado, Executive
Pedro Prado is a farmer specialized in raising pasture-raised animals roaming free on grass, such as laying hens, beef cattle, pigs, and sheep. He is a passionate advocate for regenerative agriculture, blending his expertise in industrial microbiology with sustainable livestock practices. With a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico and a scientific career that includes pioneering research in bioremediation for the U.S. Department of Energy, Pedro has tirelessly worked to improve soil health and animal welfare with the goal of producing nutrient-dense and healthy food. His training under the guidance of farmers like Joel Salatin and Greg Judy, combined with his current role as Director of Operations at Finca Pastoreo, has established him as a prominent figure in regenerative agriculture in Puerto Rico. His innovative approach to holistic pasture management and ethical livestock production reflects his commitment to sustainability.

Since the initial sharing of the vision of Freedom Farms K. has been shaping and transforming that project vision into a real-life working company. With over 20 years K. has lead in executive roles in energy, wealth management, investment banking, and the insurance industry. As founder and director of two Swiss companies, K. has proven to boost bottom line net-profits for businesses by designing high scalable target operating models underpinned by top class technology integrations including data analytics, machine learning, ecommerce and the open source protocols like bitcoin. His career journey has allowed him to lead projects in Ireland, Switzerland as well as the United States.
Philip W. Sarsons, Executive
Mr. Sarsons has already submitted a combined value of $70.5M of federal opportunities to support Freedom Farms, through the USDA and DOE. He has aligned the Farms project with the NRCS, for their financial supports to physically build out the project, and VETS, Veteran Employment Training Services, expanding regenerative farming into the social realm, for meaningful, supported employment opportunities to Puerto Rican veteran servicemen and women. Phil arrives to Freedom Farms from delivering public services in Canada, securing millions of dollars in sponsorships of post-secondary education plans, for hundreds of underemployed people. Philip brings a near-decade of policy analysis and public services delivery to Freedom Farms, as well as his own personal experience homesteading.
Nikola Spassov, Farm Manager
Nikola’s passion for regenerative agriculture has taken him across the USA and Europe, learning from successful and high-profile farmers, as well as leading workshops in Central & South America, Puerto Rico, and in Bulgaria - teaching in three languages. Nikola’s intimate knowledge of the Jayuya landscape is fundamental to the growing success of food security in the area. Niko is also professional boat builder, and, the National Champion of Bulgaria in both boat racing and water skiing! He loves the Caribbean waters, and though has no titles in PR — yet! — he has been chopping surf and ruffling the local waves in PR’s wind surfing competitions, the Expression Sessions.
